Founder’s Story

Josh Urquiaga

Raised by a single mother, Josh’s earliest lessons in resilience came from watching his mom work full-time to provide for three young children while completing her law degree. Her unwavering determination and example continue to inspire his journey.

Josh’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged early, from selling popsicles in his neighborhood, to washing windows across Utah Valley, and building a multi-state door-to-door sales team. This drive extended internationally when he co-founded a water purification facility in Mali, bringing clean water to thousands through his social-impact venture, Project Pure.

He began his career at Bain & Company, working primarily with a Venture Capital & Growth Equity accelerator team in addition to supporting various private equity diligences. After Bain, Josh joined Coinbase’s Business Operations & Strategy team, where he spearheaded cross-functional efforts to bring new products to market and drive growth.

When Josh isn’t immersed in his professional pursuits, he's embracing the great outdoors. He’s an avid skier, surfer, and triathlete and also enjoys hiking and rock climbing in his free time; Josh seeks adventure in every form.

Josh is an MBA candidate at The Wharton School and holds a BS in Genetics, Genomics, & Biotechnology with a minor in Strategic Management from Brigham Young University.
